Every figure has a source, a date and a province. If one looks wrong, tell us and we check it.

Every figure in the tool has a source, a date and a refresh cadence. Nothing is scraped from college websites. 33 of 52 pathways are verified: every numeric field has a source and a date. 19 are partly verified: the sourced parts (survival rates, apprenticeship hours, tuition) are cited and the rest, mainly startup capital, is an estimate pending real quotes.

Spotted a number that looks wrong? Email [email protected] with the pathway and your source, and a person will check it.

How we verify

Every figure is checked by a person against a named source and stamped with the date it was checked. "Verified" on a card means all four numbers (cost, first-year earnings, year-five earnings, demand) have a source; "partly verified" means at least one is an estimate, and the note on the pathway page says which. Wages come from Job Bank, WorkBC, ALIS and IMT en ligne medians multiplied by a full working year; costs from the institutions' own fee pages; demand from each province's published outlook. The last full check was October 2026 for Ontario, BC, Alberta and Quebec.

How refresh will work

Wages, outlooks and minimum wages have open datasets, so a monthly job will pull them, flag any figure that moved more than 5%, and open a review for a person to approve; nothing changes on the site without someone looking at it. Tuition and apprenticeship fees are published as web pages and PDFs, so those get a manual check each June. The monthly job is being built; until it runs, this page shows the date of the last manual check for each pathway.
